Mr. Michael Gull

Assistant Principal-Curriculum, Instruction and Counseling, Grade 12 Restorative Practices

Gull 2017-2018

Prior to joining RUSD in 2007 as a classroom teacher and athletic coach, Mr. Gull spent 15 years working in Healthcare Administration for such companies as Molina Healthcare, Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, Pharmacia and Upjohn, and AXIA Healthways.

After working in RUSD classrooms for 4 years, Mr. Gull was promoted to Staff Development Specialist in RUSD Instructional Services where he oversaw the implementation of the district’s Teaching American History [TAH] Grant. When the grant came to a close in 2013, Mr. Gull returned to the classroom here at Poly High School where he taught Honors United States History, oversaw the National History Day Program and assisted with the Poly’s WASC accreditation process.

In 2014, Mr. Gull was promoted back to RUSD Instructional Services as the district’s Instructional Services Specialist for 7-12 History-Social Science and K-12 Interventions, managing Curriculum and Instruction for History, as well as coordinating the district’s Intervention Programs for Elementary Literacy, Elementary Summer Enrichment, Middle School Summer Enrichment and High School Summer School.

Mr. Gull has a genuine love for working with all students and was thrilled to rejoin the Poly family in 2016.

Mr. Gull holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the University of Redlands, a Master Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix and a Master Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Brandman University.

He lives in Riverside along with his wife, Wendy (a 20-year teacher with RUSD), his daughters, Emily (CLU '22) and Amanda (RUSD '21) and their two family dogs.
