California Healthy Youth Act (AB 329)
Poly High School is scheduled to have the AB 329 (Comprehensive Sexual Health Education) presentations by the Riverside Community Health Foundation Feb 10, 11, 20, and 21 during their PE class for all 9th grade students.

Eileen Sanchez from Riverside Community Health Foundation will be present in the Main Office from 12pm - 1pm on February 5th with the complete curriculum for public review.

The California Healthy Youth Act (AB 329), which took effect January 1, 2016, requires school districts to provide students with comprehensive sexual health education and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention education at least once in middle school and once in high school. Instruction and materials must be medically accurate, age‐appropriate and inclusive of all students. The law requires that instruction and materials must encourage students to communicate with parents, guardians or other trusted adults.  Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is committed to ensuring the well-being of all students, and will continue to do so by providing medically accurate curriculum aligned with state legal requirements.
